Book Review for Dollar Series By Pepper Winters

Pepper Winters has a wonderful imagination. I have read several of her series and they have all been excellent, in-depth examinations of the human psyche. In the Dollar Series, we have Pimlico, a young woman who is abducted from her life and sold into sex slavery. She is purchased by a sadistic, cruel monster who is rich and has nothing better to do than to torture his new toy. She is strong and resilient, but after 2 years of torture, as she is ready to give up, ready to stop living, Elder Prest comes along with his “penny for your thoughts”. She is drawn to him and wants him as her savior, but can she trust him? She can see, he too has a darkness inside him.

Elder Prest is a tortured man. His life has been full of pain and agony, some of his own making. His OCD keeps him from doing the things his dangerously filthy mind wants to do. His past is full of agony over hurting the ones he loves, so he has a strict code, once is all he gets. One touch, one fuck, one taste… and no more. Pim, pushes those boundaries, smashes those walls, and reaches deep inside his soul and yanks on every one of his tightly controlled pieces until he is spinning out of control.
This is a wonderful love story of two people dealing with the pains of their past to embrace each other’s flaws and imperfections, learning to love each other on their terms, on their turf, the rest of the world be damned.

If you have read her other series, you will find that Pepper has given us another glimpse into Jethro and Nila’s life, from Indebted. We also get a glimpse into Pepper’s, Tess and Q Mercer from the “Monsters In the Dark” series. I love how she weaves all of their stories together in a fantastic read.
If you like dark romance, don’t hesitate, its worth every penny. Each book just gets better and better. If you can’t handle violence, and dark realities, skip it.
